Intra-African Investment Flows
In partnership with Africa Investor, the VCC is preparing an evaluation and analysis of trends in intra-African investment flows over the last 10 years. The analysis aims to rank the leading recipients of intra-African investment flows over that time, and forecast the absorptive capacity for intra-African investment and what the levels of intra-African investment should be, over the next 5-10 years. VCC's unique compilation of facts and figures aims to act as a tool for policy makers, business leaders, the media and regional economic communities. It will help guide the African Union as it sets targets to attract additional intra-African investment flows over the coming decade. The VCC will frame Africa's regional investment flows alongside other regional economic communities, including the economic regions surrounding the BRIC countries, projecting the scope and potential of intra-African investment growth.
A high-level summary of the research will be published in the September-October edition of Africa Investor magazine. The full research will be shared with select development partners, as well as both traditional and digital media outlets to foster and cultivate discourse surrounding the policy recommendations.
